At Nurturing Together we're committed to walking alongside you through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum transition. Our role is to help you shape a realistic and empowering vision for your birth experience, one that honors your values, your body, and your choices.
We offer steady, non-judgmental guidance throughout the process, helping you navigate questions, ease fears with compassion, and ensure your partner feels confident, involved, and supported every step of the way.

Birth is not something to be controlled, but something to be met with preparation, presence, and trust. Our care is designed to reduce uncertainty, strengthen communication, and help you feel grounded in your decisions as your experience unfolds.
How we support you
From early pregnancy through birth and into your first hours as a parent, we are present in ways that are both practical and deeply reassuring. We provide continuity of care that helps you feel seen, steady, and informed throughout the entire process.
During Pregnancy
During pregnancy, we focus on preparation, education, and connection so you feel informed and confident heading into birth. This includes:
- Two in-person prenatal visits to build relationship, explore your preferences, and practice comfort techniques
- Personalized birth planning guidance and postpartum preparation
- Custom worksheets covering comfort measures, labor education, and local resources
- Ongoing communication via text, email, and phone
- 24/7 on-call availability from 37–42 weeks

Early Labor
When labor begins, we stay closely connected to help you move through early labor with clarity and calm.
We help you understand what you are experiencing, offer reassurance, and support timing decisions such as when it may be best to transition to your chosen birth setting.

During Birth
During active labor and birth, we provide continuous, hands-on care for both you and your partner.
- Physical and emotional comfort measures throughout labor
- Positioning support and guidance as labor evolves
- Steady encouragement and reassurance during intensity and change
- Advocacy support to help you feel informed in decision-making conversations
- Calm presence to help anchor the room
- Immediate postpartum transition support, including early bonding and feeding support

Postpartum Transition
In the hours and days after birth, we remain present as you adjust to your new rhythm as a family.
Follow-up contact within 24 hours of birth
One in-home postpartum visit (approx. 2 hours) in the first week
Feeding support (including breastfeeding guidance if desired)
Emotional processing and birth reflection
Light newborn and recovery support as needed
